Sometimes things don’t go as planned. In the event that you are unable to take the flights you booked with us, we will provide you with useful information on the topic of booking changes or cancellations of your Eurowings flight on this page.

If you added the Flex Premium option during your booking of the SMART or BIZclass fare, you can cancel your flight free of charge until the online check-in closes before departure. You can do this in one of four ways:
On our website in the My trip section
Through our mobile services in the Manage Booking section
Through our call centre
At our airport counter
A cancellation with Flex Premium is possible, even after flight departure, on the same day as the originally booked travel date – but only if this is done by phone with the call centre on the same calendar day of the originally booked travel date. If the cancellation is made after the end of the original departure date, a fee will be charged.
If you have selected a different fare, the low booking price prevents its cancellation.
What options do I have if I can`t make my Eurowings flight?
If you can`t make your flight, you have three options:
1. Booking change to another date
The booking for flights can only be changed to another available travel date up to the before web check-in closes before departure – provided the flight is made by the same person on the same route and within our published flight schedule. It is easiest to make the booking change yourself directly online or through our mobile services.
The following Flex options apply for flight bookings made on or after 26 October 2023:
Standard allows you to make booking changes at a price of 60 € / £51. Booking changes with Flex Standard are subject to a fee. In addition, we charge a processing fee for booking changes made by telephone or in person.
Flex Light (must be purchased when the flight is booked) allows a one-time booking change of a single flight up to 40 minutes before departure.
Flex Premium (must be purchased when the flight is booked): If you added the Flex Premium option when booking the SMART fare or BIZclass fare, you can change the booking of your flight for free up to before web check-in closes before departure. For other bookings, there is a flat charge per passenger and route; you can find the amount in our schedule of charges (Article 17 "BKG" or "NC1"). In addition, the airfare is determined by the relevant fare level for the applicable route at the time of the booking change. The refund of any lower amount is excluded.
Change booking online
Log in to "My trip" with your user name and password.
In the overview of your booked flights, select the flight you want to change the booking of.
Enter the new flight date and new route.
Costs
We charge a fee for changing bookings with Standard. We also charge a processing fee for changing bookings by telephone or in person. Flights booked with Flex Light or Flex Premium on or after 26 October 2023 are not subject to these charges. You can find more about flexible solutions from Eurowings here.
2. Name change
You can transfer your flight to another person by telephone via our call centre for a fee – but only before the closing of web check-in prior to departure (or, if several routes have been booked, before the closure of web check-in prior to the departure time of the first flight). Have your booking code ready.
3. Cancellation
If you added the Flex Premium option when booking the SMART fare or BIZclass fare, you can cancel your flight up to 40 minutes before departure at no cost. Unfortunately, other bookings cannot be cancelled due to the lower prices, but the travel date can be changed online in My Travel, or the flight can be transferred to another person by telephone for a fee. Changes to the route are not possible.
You have four options for cancelling a flight in the SMART or BIZclass fare with Flex Premium:

Cancellations are also still possible after the departure on the original travel date with Flex Premium. These are free, but must be confirmed by telephone or personally at the airport counter on the same calendar day of the originally booked travel date. If a booking change or cancellation is made after the end of the original departure date, a fee will be charged.
Note:
Do you have an etix® ticket number rather than a booking number? Did you book a flight on a partner airline at eurowings.com or a Eurowings flight with one of our partner airlines or with a travel agent? Then please contact the appropriate airline or your travel agent for this matter.
For tickets booked via a travel agent, we also recommend you contact them. If you do not receive a prompt answer or it seems necessary for other reasons, please contact us again for further processing.
All regulations apply for Eurowings flights with an EW flight number, regardless of the airline performing the flight. On flights with our partner airlines which do not have an EW flight number, the terms of the respective airline apply. These can be seen on that airline`s website. These partner airlines currently include Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Condor, United Airlines, Air Canada, and All Nippon Airways.
Can I change my Eurowings flight booking?
You can change the travel date of your Eurowings flight up to 40 minutes prior to departure – provided the flight is made by the same person on the same route and within our published flight schedule. The simplest way to make a booking change to your flight is here online or using our app. Depending on the booked option, the booking change is either free or subject to a charge*:
Costs
Standard allows you to make booking changes for 60 € / £51. In addition, we charge a processing fee for booking changes made by telephone or in person.
Flex Light lets you change your flight once up to 40 minutes before departure. If the new flight is more expensive, there may be an additional charge.
Flex Premium allows you to make booking changes to your flights as often as you wish. Cancellation is also free of charge.
*Flights booked before 26 October 2023 can be rebooked without charge as often as you like.
Change Flight Date
Log into the `My trip` area with your username and password. There you will find an overview of all your booked flights.
Select the flight you wish to change.
Enter the new flight date.
You will always be able to change your booking for a fee.
Please note that flight date changes made online are possible only within the same fare. If you would like to upgrade your fare, such as from BASIC to SMART, you can do so by phone or at the airport counter up to 72 hours before departure.

You can transfer your flight to another person by telephone via our call centre for a fee – but only before before web check-in closes prior to departure (or if several routes have been booked, before before web check-in closes prior to the departure time of the first flight). Have your booking code ready.
Note:
If you booked your Eurowings flight using an etix® ticket number, name changes are not possible.
Can I change the fare I have booked with Eurowings at a later time?
Fly smarter? The simplest way is by booking your SMART upgrade in the "My trip" section. You can book your upgrade up to 72 hours before departure.
We do not offer fare downgrades.
How can I manage and add additional services to my Eurowings flight after booking?
You have the option to book additional services until online check-in closes. Additional services include, for example, baggage, pet transportation, seat reservations, and assistance for passengers with special needs.
Fare upgrades are also possible at a later date. Simply book conveniently under My Trip up to 72 hours before departure. For upgrades to BIZclass, please contact customer service or go to the airport counter.
To manage your Eurowings flight booking and add additional services, please log in on the "Book additional services" page with your last name and booking code. Here you can view your itinerary and add services for a fee. You will then receive an updated booking confirmation.
Please note that once you have booked additional services, they cannot be cancelled.
