SMART fare is our standard fare and includes all the BASIC fare flight services, as well as one item of baggage, one item of carry-on hand baggage and airport check-in.
Fly smarter? The simplest way is by booking your SMART upgrade in the "My trip" section. You can book your upgrade up to 72 hours before departure.
We do not offer fare downgrades.
If you have opted for a SMART or BIZclass fare, you can add the Flex Premium option during the booking process. It can be chosen separately for outgoing and return flights.
Flights with Flex Premium can be changed to another travel date at no extra cost up to when online check-in closes before departure – provided the same passenger boards the same flight on the same route within our published flight schedule.
Can´t make your flight? Flex Premium lets you cancel your flight at no extra cost up to 40 minutes before departure – online, on your mobile phone, by telephone or in person at the airport counter.
Even after the flight departs, it is still possible to change or cancel it with Flex Premium. However, this must be done by telephone or in person at the airport counter on the same day as the originally scheduled travel date. If the flight is changed or cancelled after it has already departed, we must unfortunately charge a flat fee.
Other Eurowings bookings cannot be cancelled due to their low fares.
The previous Flex option will be replaced by Flex Premium. All benefits and conditions remain the same.
Furthermore, Eurowings is expanding its flexibility offers with the Flex Light option. Flex Light is currently still part of the free Eurowings Flexibility Guarantee and therefore included in every flight booking. With Flex Light you can rebook flight dates, times and routes free of charge and as often as you like up to 7 days before departure. If the new flight is more expensive, only the price difference is charged. Unlike Flex Premium, flights with the Flex Light option cannot be cancelled free of charge. Airport fees and taxes will be refunded, however.
