What is the Eurowings Companion Award and how can I book it?

Accepted Answer

If you have Senator or HON Circle member status and would like to book a premium flight for yourself and a companion, you can use the privilege of a Companion Award. This will allow your companion to fly with you for 50% fewer miles.

The Companion Award can only be booked via the Miles & More service team. Companion Awards may not be booked for Fly Smart flight awards or mileage offers.

Can I accrue Miles & More miles with other airlines or frequent flyer programmes?

You can also earn miles in the MileagePlus programme from United Airlines, Aeroplan from Air Canada and Mileage Club from All Nippon Airways on Eurowings flights. To do so, you must provide your frequent flyer number when booking your flight. Award flights with United MileagePlus miles can be booked on the United Airlines website or through the United MileagePlus Service Team. Award travel using ANA Mileage Club miles can only be booked through the ANA Mileage Club service team.

How do I check my Miles & More account balance?

To keep track of your current mileage balance at all times, you can check your account online at any time. Your account also shows you how many miles will expire in the next few quarters.

How do I collect frequent flyer Points?

Accepted Answer

You can easily earn Points with Eurowings and Miles & More: Enter your Miles & More service card number when booking. If you forget to enter your number, you can do so in our online portal under "My flight" before you fly.

How long will my Miles & More Points remain valid?

Accepted Answer

In order to achieve or maintain status as a Frequent Traveller, Senator or HON Circle member, you must collect a specific number of Points, Qualifying Points or HON Circle Points within one calendar year (from 1 January to 31 December). The counter is reset to zero on the first day of the year, so only the Points of the current year will be shown.

Why haven`t my flight`s miles and Points been credited yet? How do I add Miles & More miles retroactively?

If you didn`t enter your Miles & More service card number during booking, you can still enter it here online before departure. The miles and points will be credited automatically, usually within three days after the flight.

If you don`t take a booked flight, you will not receive any miles or Points for it.

If a flight has already taken place and you forgot to enter your service card number, please contact the frequent flyer programme directly to have your reward credited retroactively (retro credit).

To request a retro credit from Miles & More, please use the credit request form on the Miles & More website or send a request via the Miles & More app.

How do I save my payment method in my myEurowings account?

Simply save your preferred payment method in your myEurowings account once. Do so by signing in to your account and adding your payment method under "My settings", "Payment method & bonus programme", "Manage payment method".

Where and how can I use Cash & Miles with Eurowings?

After selecting your flights and entering your passenger and contact details, you will see the Cash & Miles option on the last booking step.

Click on To Cash & Miles to be redirected to the Miles & More page.
Log in with your Miles & More access details.
If your account balance is at least 3,000 award miles, you can use the slider to select how many miles you would like to redeem for your flight booking.
Confirm the selected amount of miles by clicking on Redeem miles.
You will then be taken back to the Eurowings booking step Payment.
Choose a payment method to complete your booking, if your selected miles do not fully cover the booking price.

For which Eurowings flights, fares and classes can I use Cash & Miles?

Cash & Miles can be used for all Eurowings flights in the BASIC, SMART and BIZclass fares, which are bookable via the Eurowings website. The offer applies to all classes of service and all available domestic and continental routes.

No, the refund of your Cash & Miles booking as a voucher is currently not possible.

What happens to my redeemed miles if I change my flight?

If you rebook your flight, the redeemed miles will be transferred to the rebooked flights automatically. If the new flights cost more than the original flights, you cannot currently pay the difference with additional miles using the Cash & Miles option. Please select another payment method to complete your rebooking.

What is Cash & Miles?

Cash & Miles is a service for Miles & More members. Similarly to Eurowings award flights, you can use it to redeem miles for flight bookings with Eurowings. However, Cash & Miles gives you the flexibility to choose how many miles you want to redeem per booking. Depending on the amount of miles redeemed, you either reduce or fully cover the booking price that is paid with money.

The Cash & Miles option is available from a Miles & More account balance of just 3,000 award miles and for all regular Eurowings flights booked on the Eurowings website.

How do I receive a miles refund from a Cash & Miles booking if my flight is cancelled or annulled?

If your flight is (partially) cancelled, we will refund your share of miles within 24 hours of the cancellation. First, the monetary amount or the portion of the booking amount paid by voucher(s) will be refunded. In the case of a partial cancellation/refund, if the monetary amount is not sufficient to make the refund, the missing amount will be refunded proportionally in miles. You will receive the mileage refund on the Miles & More account you used for the booking.

In the case of a partial refund, you can track the (partially) refunded mileage amounts in the booking. In the new booking confirmation you receive by email, this refund will be shown as a monetary amount. The new total price of the booking will also be updated.

Which services can I cover with Cash & Miles?

With Cash & Miles, you redeem either all or part of the award miles earned via Miles & More to book Eurowings flights. The number of miles you can use depends on the total price of your booking. This is made up of the fare, additional services such as preferred seats or checked baggage, taxes, fees, and surcharges. Simply choose how many miles you would like to have credited to the booking price with the Cash & Miles slider.

Cash & Miles cannot be used if you added partner services such as travel insurance or a rental car to your booking.

Are redeemed miles refunded if my flight booking is cancelled?

If you paid for either all or part of your cancelled booking with award miles, Miles & More will refund them to your mileage account. If only part of your booking, e.g. only the outbound flight, is cancelled, we will first refund the monetary amount to the payment method you used for the booking. In the next step, the proportionate amount of miles will be credited back to your Miles & More account.
