Cash & Miles

After selecting your flights and entering your passenger and contact details, you will see the Cash & Miles option on the last booking step.

1. Click on To Cash & Miles to be redirected to the Miles & More page. 

2. Log in with your Miles & More access details.

3. If your account balance is at least 3,000 award miles, you can use the slider to select how many miles you would like to redeem for your flight booking. 

4. Confirm the selected amount of miles by clicking on Redeem miles. 

5. You will then be taken back to the Eurowings booking step Payment.

6. Choose a payment method to complete your booking, if your selected miles do not fully cover the booking price.

Cash & Miles can be used for all Eurowings flights in the BASIC, SMART and BIZclass fares, which are bookable via the Eurowings website. The offer applies to all classes of service and all available domestic and continental routes. 

No, the refund of your Cash & Miles booking as a voucher is currently not possible.

If you rebook your flight, the redeemed miles will be transferred to the rebooked flights automatically. If the new flights cost more than the original flights, you cannot currently pay the difference with additional miles using the Cash & Miles option. Please select another payment method to complete your rebooking.

Cash & Miles is a service for Miles & More members. Similarly to Eurowings award flights, you can use it to redeem miles for flight bookings with Eurowings. However, Cash & Miles gives you the flexibility to choose how many miles you want to redeem per booking. Depending on the amount of miles redeemed, you either reduce or fully cover the booking price that is paid with money. 

The Cash & Miles option is available from a Miles & More account balance of just 3,000 award miles and for all regular Eurowings flights booked on the Eurowings website.

If your flight is (partially) cancelled, we will refund your share of miles within 24 hours of the cancellation. First, the monetary amount or the portion of the booking amount paid by voucher(s) will be refunded. In the case of a partial cancellation/refund, if the monetary amount is not sufficient to make the refund, the missing amount will be refunded proportionally in miles. You will receive the mileage refund on the Miles & More account you used for the booking.

In the case of a partial refund, you can track the (partially) refunded mileage amounts in the booking. In the new booking confirmation you receive by email, this refund will be shown as a monetary amount. The new total price of the booking will also be updated.

With Cash & Miles, you redeem either all or part of the award miles earned via Miles & More to book Eurowings flights. The number of miles you can use depends on the total price of your booking. This is made up of the fare, additional services such as preferred seats or checked baggage, taxes, fees, and surcharges. Simply choose how many miles you would like to have credited to the booking price with the Cash & Miles slider. 

Cash & Miles cannot be used if you added partner services such as travel insurance or a rental car to your booking.

If you paid for either all or part of your cancelled booking with award miles, Miles & More will refund them to your mileage account. If only part of your booking, e.g. only the outbound flight, is cancelled, we will first refund the monetary amount to the payment method you used for the booking. In the next step, the proportionate amount of miles will be credited back to your Miles & More account.

This can have several reasons: 

• If Cash & Miles is not available for your selected flights. 

• If you added partner services (e.g. travel insurance or car rental) to your booking, Cash & Miles cannot be used.

• If your booking amount is too low, or you do not have minimum value of 3,000 award miles in your Miles & More account, Cash & Miles is also not available.

• If your login data is incorrect or your account is (temporarily) blocked.

• If the service is temporarily unavailable for technical reasons.  

Eurowings flights are a coveted award in the Miles & More programme. The number of available award flights is limited, depending on demand. On days with particularly high demand—such as during the holiday season—Eurowings award flights are therefore only available to a limited extent.

With Cash & Miles, we offer an additional option to redeem your collected award miles for flight bookings with Eurowings. You can either use all or part of your award miles to reduce the portion of your flight booking, which you pay with money. The booking conditions are identical to those for normal flight bookings. 

The maximum number of miles you can redeem for your flight booking with Cash & Miles depends on the total price of your booking. This is made up of the flight price, additional services such as preferred seats or checked baggage, as well as taxes, fees, and surcharges. You control with a slider how many of your award miles you want to redeem for each booking. Only after clicking on Redeem miles will the selected amount be deducted from your Miles & More account.
