Q: What is Flex Light?

Flex Light is an option that offers you greater flexibility for your booking. However, it is available only in combination with a SMART or BIZclass fare. If you add the Flex Light option when booking your flight, you can change your booking online once, up to 40 minutes before departure, free. Should your new flight cost more, the additional cost is payable by you. Cancellations are not covered by Flex Light. By the way: If you create or are logged in to your myEurowings account when booking a flight, you receive Flex Light free for SMART or BIZclass fares. Still don't have a myEurowings account? Question 1

How can I manage and add additional services to my Eurowings flight after booking?

Accepted Answer

You have the option to book additional services until online check-in closes. Additional services include, for example, baggage, pet transportation, seat reservations, and assistance for passengers with special needs.

Fare upgrades are also possible at a later date. Simply book conveniently under My Trip up to 72 hours before departure. For upgrades to BIZclass, please contact customer service or go to the airport counter.

To manage your Eurowings flight booking and add additional services, please log in on the "Book additional services" page with your last name and booking code. Here you can view your itinerary and add services for a fee. You will then receive an updated booking confirmation.

Please note that once you have booked additional services, they cannot be cancelled.

Question 2

Can I change the fare I have booked with Eurowings at a later time?

Accepted Answer

Fly smarter? The simplest way is by booking your SMART upgrade in the "My trip" section. You can book your upgrade up to 72 hours before departure. If you wish to switch to the BIZclass fare, you can do so over the phone with our customer service or at the airport counter.

We do not offer fare downgrades.

What is the difference between Flex Light and Flex Premium?

Accepted Answer

Starting 26 October, 2023, if you have selected the SMART or BIZclass fare, you can add Flex Light or Flex Premium during the booking whenever it is available.

Flex Light is an option that you can add to your booking for only 10 € / £9 / 9 CHF / $11 / 247 CZK / 118 SEK / 113 NOK / 75 DKK / 44 PLN / 3.879 HUF / 40 AED (plus difference to the current airfare), per flight. With Flex Light, you can make one booking change up to 40 minutes before departure. Free cancellation is not possible with Flex Light.

Flex Premium offers you maximum freedom and flexibility. This option lets you change your bookings as often as you like. Cancellations are also free.

Question 4

Can I modify flights that include stopovers?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can modify the date of the flight you have booked with $\{CMS.Airline} up until $\{CMS.Buchungsänderung Zeit vor Abflug} before departure; you can do so online, on a mobile phone, by calling our customer services line, or at any of our desks at the airport.

Making changes online:

You can make your changes by logging into the “My trip” area with your username and password.

Making changes on a mobile phone:

The mobile services home page allows you to access the changes section via your device. You can also do so in the “Manage booking” section.

Cost:

In the BASIC, SMART and BIZclass rates, we apply a surcharge for changes per person and journey*. If the price of the originally booked flight is no longer available, you will be charged the difference with the corresponding flight. In the event that you have added the Flex option to your SMART or BIZclass rate, the change is completely free of charge.

Please bear in mind that flight journeys cannot be modified.

If your booking has an etix® ticket number, no name changes are allowed.

*“Journey” here means from the departure airport to the destination airport.

Question 5

Will I be charged for booking additional services with Eurowings at a later date?

Accepted Answer

No. You can book additional services at a later date at no extra cost. If you add services for which surcharges apply, you will have to pay these surcharges only.

Please note that direct debit payments are only possible up until 5 days before departure.

Our tip:

If you book your checked baggage or excess baggage before checking in for your flight, you will save up to 50% on the charge for booking checked baggage at the airport counter.

Note:

All regulations apply to Eurowings flights with an EW flight number, regardless of the operating airline. For our partner airlines' flights, which do not have an EW flight number, the conditions of the respective airline apply. These can be viewed on the airlines' own websites. These partner airlines currently include Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Condor, United Airlines, Air Canada and All Nippon Airways.

Why can I not book services for my flight via Eurowings?

Accepted Answer

If you cannot book services for your flight booking at eurowings.com, please check the details on your booking confirmation to make sure that these are the same.

If the information is correct, and you still cannot access your booking, this could be because you did not make the booking directly with Eurowings, but rather via a travel agency, a travel portal or a tour organiser. In this case, please contact the company with which you made the booking directly. Otherwise, our call centre airport ground crew will be happy to help you.

Flights with our partner airlines

At eurowings.com, you can now also combine our flights with flights from other airlines. On selected routes, we offer you the additional possibility to book direct flights within our partner network.

If you cannot book services for your flight booking at eurowings.com, this could be because you booked a Eurowings flight on our website in combination with another airline, or even a direct flight with another airline. Please check your booking confirmation, which was sent to you by email with the subject “Your Lufthansa Group booking”.

Is making a new booking ever better value than changing an existing booking with Eurowings?

Accepted Answer

Yes, because when changing a booking, the price class may be kept the same or raised, but not lowered. In addition, our flight prices are sometimes reduced to such an extent during campaigns that it is well worth making a new booking.

Can I change my Eurowings flight booking?

Accepted Answer

You can change the travel date of your Eurowings flight up to 40 minutes prior to departure – provided the flight is made by the same person on the same route and within our published flight schedule. The simplest way to make a booking change to your flight is here online or using our app. Depending on the booked option, the booking change is either free or subject to a charge*:

Costs

Standard allows you to make booking changes for €50 / £43. In addition, we charge a processing fee for booking changes made by telephone or in person.

Flex Light lets you change your flight once up to 40 minutes before departure. If the new flight is more expensive, there may be an additional charge.

Flex Premium allows you to make booking changes to your flights as often as you wish. Cancellation is also free of charge.

*Flights booked before 26 October 2023 can be rebooked without charge as often as you like.

Change Flight Date

Log into the `My trip` area with your username and password. There you will find an overview of all your booked flights.
Select the flight you wish to change.
Enter the new flight date.

You will always be able to change your booking for a fee.

Please note that flight date changes made online are possible only within the same fare. If you would like to upgrade your fare, such as from BASIC to SMART, you can do so by phone or at the airport counter up to 72 hours before departure.

Do you have an etix® ticket number and no booking number? Did you book a flight on a partner airline at eurowings.com or a Eurowings flight with one of our partner airlines or with a travel agent? Then please contact the relevant airline or travel agent.

All regulations apply for Eurowings flights with an EW flight number, regardless of the airline performing the flight. On flights with our partner airlines which do not have an EW flight number, the terms of the respective airline apply. These can be seen on that airline`s website. These partner airlines currently include Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Condor, United Airlines, Air Canada, and All Nippon.

Changing the passenger name

You can transfer your flight to another person by telephone via our call centre for a fee – but only before before web check-in closes prior to departure (or if several routes have been booked, before before web check-in closes prior to the departure time of the first flight). Have your booking code ready.

Note:

If you booked your Eurowings flight using an etix® ticket number, name changes are not possible.

Question 10

How can I rebook my flight if I have a pet included?

Accepted Answer

Please check the availability before you rebook your flight. To do so, select the specific flight in a new booking and add a pet in the second step called “Seats” of the booking process under “Further services”.

If this option is available, you can make a booking change to your flight online here or using our app. The pet remains in your existing booking and has not to be added extra.
