What do I need to know about the Eurowings wetlease partnerships?

The most important facts about wetlease at a glance:

  • In order to be able to carry out the flight programme planned for the summer, Eurowings needs support. The aim is to optimally meet the increased travel demand of passengers in the summer. Air Baltic, Avion Express Malta and Smartwings will operate on behalf of Eurowings in the busy months this year. 

  • Wet lease means that various airlines conclude a so-called wet lease agreement with each other and fly on behalf of Eurowings, i.e. the airlines lease their aircraft including cockpit crew, on-board crew, maintenance and insurance to Eurowings for a certain period of time.
