Attach your baggage tag to the side handle of your baggage. If the baggage only has a handle on the top, please use this handle.

What do I need to use the baggage tag kiosk in Dusseldorf and Cologne / Bonn?

If you have already checked in online and just want to check in your baggage, you no longer need to go to the check-in kiosks in Düsseldorf and Cologne/Bonn. Simply scan your boarding pass at the baggage tag kiosks to print your baggage tag directly.

What do I need in order to use the check-in kiosks?

You only need your booking code, an ID document or an e-ticket number to identify yourself.

I have booked the BIZclass fare. Can I check in my baggage at the kiosks?

Both check-in and baggage drop are possible at the kiosks in all fares. However, our kiosks currently do not accept baggage that has an actual weight of more than 23 kg.

I would like to check in my hand baggage free of charge. Can I use the kiosks for this?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. Please go to the counter for this.

I have booked the BASIC fare. Is there a charge for checking in at the kiosk?

In the BASIC fare, only check-in at the airport counter is subject to a charge. Online check-in and check-in at the check-in kiosk are free of charge.

What happens if my baggage does not arrive?

Checking in your baggage at the kiosks is just as safe as at the counter. In the unlikely event that your baggage does not arrive at your destination airport, we will provide you with the best possible support. All information about lost baggage and how to report it can be found on this page .

I have already checked in online. When should I still use the check-in kiosks?

If you wish to check in your baggage, please use our check-in kiosks to print out your baggage tag. Only in Dusseldorf and Cologne / Bonn you can print your baggage tag directly at the baggage tag kiosks.

I have booked a 12 kg bag / a 32 kg bag. Can I check this in at the kiosks?

In general, you can check in all our baggage types (12 kg, 23 kg or 32 kg) at the kiosk. However, our kiosks currently do not accept baggage that has an actual weight of more than 23 kg.

Should I check in online or at the kiosk?

We recommend that you check in online from the comfort of your own home. This way, you can reserve your desired seat free of charge as early as 72 hours before departure and save yourself a step at the airport. If online check-in does not work for you, please use our check-in kiosk at the airport.

What are the advantages of baggage drop at the kiosks?

If you have checked in online, you can easily drop off your baggage yourself. You can find our self-bag drop off stations near the check-in area. The kiosks save you valuable time, as you no longer have to queue at the counter. In addition, you can check in or drop off your baggage independently of the counter opening times. Depending on the airport, this is usually possible up to 40 minutes before departure. You can then go directly to the security check.
