In the event of a route and booking change, will hotel costs on the following day be covered?

Accepted Answer

If you can only fly on the following day due to a route change, we will book a hotel for you. Please contact our ground crew at the airport for the hotel booking.

We will provide transportation between the hotel and airport. If that is not possible, we will bear the cost of public transportation for the trip to the hotel and back to the airport. We will assume the cost of a taxi if public transportation cannot be used or used only with excessive effort, for example at night.

In exceptional cases, we may not be able to offer a hotel stay for logistical reasons. In that case, we ask you to take care of your overnight accommodation yourself. In such an event, we will reimburse the receipted cost of a mid-range hotel (up to €150 per person).

Simply send us the receipt via our contact form so that we can verify a reimbursement.

My Eurowings flight was diverted. Where do I get information on what to do next?

Accepted Answer

If your flight was diverted due to bad weather, for example, you will receive further information from the crew, local airport staff or by text message.

Your options:

1. Check your flight status:

Checking your flight status is simple via eurowings.com or our Eurowings app for iPhone and Android. There you´ll find the latest information on your flight.

2. Provide your contact information:

Passengers who provide their contact details are kept up to date on changes by text message or email. You can simply open your booking to add or update your contact information.

We're doing everything we can to get you to your destination as quickly as possible. Please be patient. We will keep you up to date.

Question 3

What happens if my flight route is changed?

Accepted Answer

If your flight route changes, for example due to bad weather, we will provide transport between the respective airports.

If we are not able to arrange transportation, we will cover your costs for public transport between the airports.

We will pay for taxi fares if it is not practicable to use public transport, for example at night or where it would take disproportionate effort. Simply use our contact form to send us your receipts afterwards so that we can look into reimbursing you.
