The voucher can be used for bookings via the homepage eurowings.com. Redemption via our call center is only possible to a limited extent.
The voucher is issued in the currency, which was used to purchase the flight ticket.
Vouchers are valid for three years and can only be redeemed or used for a new flight booking within the specified validity period. The flight, however, can take place at a later date.
If the total cost of the selected flights at the time of booking exceeds the value of the voucher, the remaining amount can be paid by credit card or debit card.
Changes to bookings are possible in accordance with the relevant valid Eurowings Conditions of Carriage (GTC).
The voucher is only valid for the issued booking and travel period, an extension or cash payout is not possible.
Eurowings accepts no liability for the loss of the voucher code. Replacement vouchers will not be issued.
The voucher is only valid for the booking of Eurowings services (flight, baggage, seat etc.) and cannot be redeemed for packages (e.g. flight and hotel).
A voucher issued in Euro can also be used for flights paid in other currencies. The value of the voucher is determined according to the exchange rates valid at the time of booking. If the invoice amount exceeds the voucher value, the remaining amount can be paid with another approved method of payment or another voucher. This may result in transaction costs, the amount of which can be found in the GTC.
Should the value of the voucher exceed the amount charged, the balance of the voucher will remain valid until the expiry date under the same voucher code and may be redeemed with another flight booking. Please note that you will not receive a new voucher for the remainder. Cash payment of the balance is excluded.
Subsequent offsetting of the voucher code against bookings already made is not possible retroactively.
In the case of a cancellation, you are entitled to a refund unless you have converted your booking into a voucher before the cancellation and in accordance with No. 13 of these Terms of Use. Should you decide to redeem your voucher, the amount used will be offset against your refund.
Do you no longer wish to take up your flight but would prefer to receive a voucher instead? Please note: Your entitlement to carriage on the booked flight expires when you voluntarily exchange this flight booking for a flight voucher. From that point on, you no longer have a confirmed booking for this flight. Any legal claims for refunds you have on the basis of your fare are satisfied in full when the voucher is issued. As a gesture of goodwill, we grant you the option to cancel your carriage contract regardless of the originally selected fare, in order to offer you the greatest possible flexibility when planning your travel.
Passengers who have booked their trip through a travel agency. Please contact the issuing travel agency.
Passengers whose flight is part of a package tour. Please contact your tour operator.
Eurowings shall be entitled to amend these Terms of Use with immediate effect for the future. The user will be informed accordingly. Eurowings shall only have this right if the change is reasonable for the user, taking into account the interests of Eurowings.
Eurowings shall not be liable for damages to the user if the damage is due to slight negligence. This shall not apply if an obligation has been breached which the agreement is obliged to grant according to its meaning and purpose, or the fulfilment of which only makes the proper execution of the agreement possible and on the observance of which the user may regularly rely. Insofar as Eurowings is liable on the merits, the claim for damages shall be limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract (value of the service determined).
The limitations of liability shall not apply in the event of injury to life, body or health, in the event of gross negligence or intent on the part of employees, vicarious agents or legal representatives of Eurowings, or in the event of statutory strict liability or guarantees assumed.
These Terms of Use are governed by German law to the exclusion of the UN Sales Convention and international private law. In business transactions with consumers within the European Union, the law of the consumer's place of residence may also be applicable, provided that these are mandatory consumer law provisions. Should one or more clauses of these terms of use be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining clauses shall not be affected.
