Would you like to drop off your baggage the night before? You can do so at the following airports:
The service is available free of charge at the baggage kiosks (except Stuttgart) or for €5.00 per person (incl. taxes) at the counter.
Please note:
Use of the kiosks is not available for flights to Albania, Armenia, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Montenegro, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey or the United Arab Emirates. Please go to the counter.
Late Night Baggage Drop is not available for flights to Beirut, Jeddah, Pristina and Erbil, or flights with the final destination USA or Canada. Sports weapons cannot be dropped the night before.
If free check-in at the airport is not included in your fare (e.g. in the BASIC fare), we recommend checking in online before dropping of your baggage. Should you decide at the airport that you'd prefer to check in at the counter, we will charge €20 per person.
Kuusamo Airport is 6 km northeast of Kuusamo city centre and can be reached via route 8690.
It takes around half an hour to get to the airport from the Ruka ski area, via the E63. Ruka is around 25 km north of Kuusamo Airport.
There is a regular bus connection between Kuusamo Airport and Kuusamon Tropiikki, Ruka and Salla. It is operated by Pohjolan Matka and is aligned to the flight schedule.
There are taxis available on call in front of the airport at all planned arrival times. However, you can also book a taxi in advance. There is a separate taxi stand for pre-ordered taxis. You can check the number for the taxi you have ordered on the information screen in the terminal.

The airport is 6 km northeast of Kuusamo city centre and 23 km south of the Ruka ski area.
At the airport, there are parking spaces available in front of the terminal which are subject to a fee. Consider paying for your parking space in advance using the automatic machines in the terminal. You can pay by debit card or Eurocard, Visa or MasterCard credit cards. Cash is not accepted.

Heated parking spaces can be requested in advance via the Kuusamo airport information desk. The price for heated parking spaces is an extra 15 euros on top of the normal parking fees.
You can charge your electric car on parking space P1. The charging fee is 0.25 euros per kWh plus 4 euros as a starting fee. You cannot book a charging station in advance.
Our check-in counter is located in terminal 1.
Check-in opens two hours before departure and closes 40 minutes before scheduled departure time. You may also check in online as early as 72 hours before departure, or check in using your internet-enabled smartphone.
